Panchakarma Explained
Each step with the Panchakarma process has its own benefits and can be employed to heal specific health concerns.
Pre-Panchakarma Phase:
(The Preparation Stage)
This phase involves preparation of body and mind via counselling, correction of digestive fire & medicine intake for internal cleansing which helps to dislodge the deep-seated toxins in the body
Daily Ayurveda massage and Herbal steam help to move the toxins towards the gastro-intestinal tract making them ready for elimination.
Panchakarma the Main Phase:
(The Cleansing Stage)
In this phase, purification is achieved by a single or combination of 2 or 3 detoxification treatment methods which helps remove the toxins at cellular level.
The kind of purification you need would depend on the nature of your disease, and what doshas contributed to its manifestation.
Post-Panchakarma Phase:
(The Rejuvenation Stage)
Post therapeutic dietetics is designed to enhance and re-establish the digestive fire. Specially tailored diet, Rasayana Therapy, lifestyle management, diet and exercise as per your body constitution is advised after the completion of cleansing treatments. They enhance the benefits of the Panchakarma and rejuvenation.
After Panchakarma, the mind becomes very clear
But the body remains delicate at first, for about a month. It enters a longer phase where it is rewiring itself around how it can function in this new, clean reality with higher functioning cells and tissues, and upregulating those functions.
To allow the maximum extension of effects and protect the process, structured lifestyle support is advised to maintain results and avoid returning to harmful habits.
If you are blessed with good health, have a yearly Panchakarma to tune-up your body and maintain health.
